Dr. Barry was born and raised in Butte, Mt., was married, had four children, and seven grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps. 1944-46; earned undergraduate degrees from Gonzaga University, B.S., Chemical and Sanitary Engineering; University of Montana, B.A., Biology; and graduate degrees from the University of Montana, Biology, Station M.A., Botany; Arizona State University M.S., Zoology; and a Doctorate in Biology from the University of Montana.
Dr. Barry was a Professor of Biology and Public Health for 40 years at the University of Montana, Arizona State University and Gonzaga University, and a Graduate Fellow at Colorado State University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Louisville. He has 97 publications and has presented his research Nationally and Internationally and has received citations from the U.S. Government, U.S. Universities, U.S. Navy, Australia, Russia, China and Italy.
Barry was a National and International Consultant and has consulted for U.S. Department of Interior, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Department of Defense, Private Industry and has been an International Consultant for the Government of China holding a Chinese Domestic Passport.
Barry was a member of numerous Learned Societies, and has been an expert witness in Federal, Superior and District Court in 23 cases.
Dr. Barry passed away in 1998. We will miss him.
